
2020 ELECTIONS
Three steps to run for club office:
Interested in running for a higher office instead?
Candidates running for a district position/international endorsement will present their speeches at DCON.
PNW District positions include Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Editor.
You can also run for endorsement for one of the following positions: International President, International Vice-President, International Trustee.

*All members are welcome but not required to attend.
APPLICATION
The available positions are President, Vice President, Secretary (2), Treasurer (2), and Editor (3). More information on each position is detailed in the application form. Still not sure which position to run for? Ask any of the officers for advice and insight into their respective positions! Officer contact info is under 'About' and 'Meet Your Officers.'

To run for office, you must meet the following requirements:

Be a paid Key Club member

Have a 3.0 unweighted GPA or higher

Be available for weekly meetings
-
You may not be the current President of any other club

NOTE: If you are running for office, you are also expected to be available to attend DCON.

SPEECHES
Your speech should . . .

Be under 4 minutes
-
Not include anything that would reflect unfavorably on another candidate. No off-color, racist, sexually explicit, or other offensive material is permitted

Not have other people and/or props as part of your presentation

Be positive and constructive

The deadline to submit your speeches for review is December 18th at 11:59pm. Email your speech to Ms. Skowyra (SkowyraBL@mukilteo.wednet.edu). You may make minor changes (such as grammar) to your speech between this review date and election day, but you may not significantly deviate off of your original approved speech.
ELECTION DAY
You will present your speeches at our general meeting on January 6th. Speeches will go in the following candidate grouping order: Editor, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, President. After every candidate has presented his/her speech, the voting form link will go live. Voting is open to all Key Club members. Results will be posted within the same week. For those of you who have read this far and plan on running for office: good luck!
